My Eat Stop Eat Results Thus Far
I began my program February 1st of 2011 and it is currently April 3rd 2011. My current weight is 243 pounds and I began at a big 282 pounds. I’ve been able to use the intermittent fasting technique to lose almost 40 pounds in about nine weeks!
My weight loss goal when I started my program was to get to 225 pounds. Well, at my current rate of weight loss, I should be able to hit my goal by June, just in time for the summer season. I know that if I continue with my program, I’ll achieve my desired results.
Losing Weight From Not Eating
I feel that there is an issue that I should address right here and now and that is the misconception that this is a “No Eating” or an “Anorexic” diet. I can tell you that this is absolutely not what this diet is about. This diet uses the intermittent fasting technique to create a calorie deficit. It is recommended that it only be used once or twice a week. There are also some people spreading the notion that fasting is dangerous. Well, it can be if not used properly. However, what were talking about here is simply periodic fasting. Not long term fasting.
“You should not be fasting more than three times a week” There is a point where you start to see diminishing returns with the method. It is absolutely not recommended that you fast for multiple days at a time. Doing so can affect your bodies metabolism and will hinder your weight loss progress.
There is a fine line here but if you stick to just twice a week, spread out, then you can see some great results without it being dangerous.
A Note: This method has not been extensively tested with people with medical problems such as diabetes. So it is not recommended that you use the intermittent fasting method unless you are under a doctors supervision.
Do You Lose Weight If You Don’t Eat
The answer is yes. Absolutely. However, you don’t want to overdo it.
How Can You Lose Weight In A Day?
With just one fast, you can reasonably expect to lose a half to three quarters of a pound. It will depend on whether you work out or how active you are. That’s not tough to do if you think about. It takes 3,500 calories to lose one pound of body fat. By not eating for just one day you are cutting out roughly 2,000 calories and if you workout, there is another 300 to 500 calories. So it’s definitely possible to lose some serious weight.
What Kind Of Foods Do I Eat During The Week?
I simply eat whatever I want.
I know, you were hoping for a more detailed answer… Don’t be disappointed though. This is a good thing for you. Telling you what kinds of food you should eat would be a waste of time. This method allows you a lot of freedom when it comes to what you can eat.
However, I can give you a basic guideline.
I suggest that you don’t eat more than 2,000 calories a day on your off days. Now I’m not saying that you need to count your calories and be exact, but estimating calorie intake is helpful and will become easy the more you do it.
Technically you can eat any type of food because it’s not the type were concerned with but rather the amount of that food. Which is why I don’t suggest you eat more than 2,000 calories.
From my personal experience, I’ve found that eating low G.I. carbohydrates makes me feel fuller and helps me avoid over eating.
I’ve also noticed that my fat loss was much more dramatic when sticking to low G.I. foods rather than high G.I. foods like refined sugars.
Finally, you want to make sure that you don’t consume any calories on your fast. Stick to water, hot tea and coffee(no sugar, no creamer).
You will find that you are going to have great success with the above guidelines for your intermittent fasting program.

For the first month of my fat loss program I exercised 6 to 7 days a week. I’ve since cut down on this because there is a point where your body needs to take a break. You can’t over do it all the time.
I experienced an average weekly weight loss of 6 pounds following this method for the first 4 to 5 weeks.
My suggestion for you guys reading this is that you take action. You won’t know whether something works unless you get moving and put this plan to use.
